Do You Want a Better Relationship? Try Being More Vulnerable.
Learning to be open has the power to change your life…and your intimate relationships.
Are you good at being vulnerable? It’s easy to boast of how strong you are. It’s far easier to play up to the idea of perfection than to lay our weaknesses and our wounds bare before others. Vulnerability is a scary thing to do because it comes with the inherent threat of rejection and can change the way people see us.
But that’s not always a bad thing. It’s true. Allowing ourselves to have a moment of weakness can be both endearing and empowering at the same time. No one is perfect. It’s a fact. Yet so many of us are moving through the world exhausting ourselves to maintain this image.
We would all be a lot happier if we could be more human, and more vulnerable with one another. Closeness, empathy, love, all of that is made strong by courageous acts of vulnerability every single day.
